CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

An investigation is underway after a home invasion shooting in Cleveland early Friday morning.

It happened at 3:30 a.m. in the 6800 block of Berdelle Avenue.

19 Action News has learned shots were fired, and one person was wounded. It's not clear if the homeowner or the suspect was injured at this time.

Lorraine Pramik has lived in the area for 59 years. She has seen the decline. A house stripped of it's copper has sat empty for years, a downed tree limb in front. Elsewhere steel doors protect people who own their houses, fences keep intruders out as well.

"I think the guys that own the houses should be either cited or informed or let them come and live here for a week you know and see what we have to live with," said Lorraine Pramik.

Cleveland Police have not made an arrest.

The investigation continues.
