AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

University of Akron head baseball coach Rick Rembielak is back on the field after being placed on paid leave after a dugout incident with one of his players last month.

University police investigated a complaint that claimed the coach pulled down a player off of a bench and challenged him to a fight.

The city prosecutor decided against charging Coach Rem with menacing.

Our Scott Taylor obtained a letter sent to players from the university over the weekend.

It states, Coach Rem did violated some important rules of the university's athletic policy. He has to complete anger management classes and he's fined one week's pay...

19 Action News discovered he is back with the team who is headed into MAC Tournament play on Wednesday before Coach Rem has even started his anger management classes.

The University says after talking with players and coaching staff it was determined that it was in the best interests of the baseball program to bring Coach Rem back as soon as possible.

He has until the start of the fall semester to take the classes.

The University says Coach Rem has apologized for his behavior and use of inappropriate language.
