Cleveland's Deadliest Fire: Antun Lewis sentencing date continued

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Sentencing scheduled for tomorrow for the man convicted of setting Cleveland's deadliest arson in history has been delayed.

According to the Department of Justice, Tuesday's June 10, 2014 sentencing date for Antun Lewis has been continued and no new date has been set.

Lewis set a fire at a home on E. 87th Street on May 21, 2005. One woman and eight children were killed. The kids were at a birthday sleepover.

The victims were Media Carter, 33, Antwon Jackson, 14, Devonte Carter, 15, Moses Williams Jr. ,14, Maleeya Williams, 12, Ernest Tate Jr., 13, Miles Cockfield, 13, Fakih Jones, 7, and Shauntavia Mitchell, 12.

Lewis was arrested days later. 

The 29-year old has been convicted of these charges in two other trials but both convictions were thrown out. His third attempt at a new trial was denied.
