AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

A 33-year-old man is in custody, accused of murdering an 18-year-old Wednesday evening.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Cole Avenue.

When Akron Police Officers arrived, Donald Carter Jr. was found lying on the sidewalk. He was transported to Akron General where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect, Nathaneal Carter Jr., turned himself in to police late Wednesday. He is now charged with aggravated murder and locked up in the Summit County Jail.

Officers say the suspect and victim are not related.

The shooting appears to stem from an on-going feud between the victim and suspect.
