Officers arraigned in 2012 deadly chase

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Six Cleveland Police Officers facing charges in connection with the November 2012 deadly police chase and shooting were arraigned on Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Justice Center in Cuyahoga County.

Michael Brelo, the only officer facing a felony, is charged with two counts of manslaughter.

Brelo entered a plea of not guilty and was issued a $10,000 bond.

Sergeant Randolph Daley, Sergeant Patricia Coleman, Sergeant Michael Donegan, Sergeant Paul Wilson and Lieutenant Jason Edens were indicted on misdemeanor charges of dereliction of duty.

They each were issed personal bonds of $1,000.

This comes one day after the Cleveland Police Supervisors Union reported that Sgt. Michael Donegan , sergeant fired after the massive chase,  had been awarded his job back along with two other officers involved in the incident.

The 28-minute chase ended with 13 officers firing 137 shots into the car, killing the driver, Timothy Russell, and the passenger, Malissa Williams.
