RICHMOND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

A major heroin dealer is finally behind bars after leading police on a dangerous car chase.

Last Thanksgiving, Richmond Heights Police saw a car run a light and zoom off around 100 mph, eventually crashing.

The driver was Cedric Perry, a man known for dealing in eastern Cuyahoga County, as well as Lake County. Investigators were frustrated since he had earlier cases ending only in probation or drug treatment.

Police found Perry with a big stash of heroin and phones. Investigators learned he had dozens of heroin customers.

Perry recently got nearly four years in prison for Lake County cases. This week, he adds eight more years tied to the case.

It's almost never easy getting heroin dealers off the streets.
