CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

At around 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening, June 15, cops responded to the area of E. 103 and Pierpont in connection with two males shot.

The investigation reveals that two males were seated in the front seat of a car. The passenger was handling a loaded handgun when it discharged entering and exiting his hand. The same bullet then struck the driver in his right leg and passed through lodging in his left leg.

EMS responded and took both males to hospitals.

Police say the male handling the weapon has a CCW permit and the weapon was confiscated.

It's unclear if the males were parked or actually driving when this occurred.

The incident remains under investigation.
