SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is holding its Fugitive Safe Surrender Program in Summit County June 25, 26, 27, and 28.

The Ohio Attorney General's Fugitive Safe Surrender Program gives people who have outstanding warrants for misdemeanors and low-level felonies the chance to resolve these issues in a church or other community-based setting.

Fugitive Safe Surrender is not an amnesty program.

Summit County has 6,000 active felony warrants. In Akron, Barberton, and Stow, there are 16,000 active misdemeanor warrants.
