Missing man found drowned in Akron

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

The Summit County Medical Examiner and the Akron Police Department are investigating the drowning death of Matthew Saulsberry, a 26 year-old male from Ira Avenue in Akron.

The body of Matthew Saulsberry was discovered by the Akron Fire Department Dive Team in Summit Lake Monday night.  His body was in 20 feet of water, just East of the Ira Avenue Pier.

Mr. Saulsberry was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:20pm on June 16, 2014.

Matthew Saulsberry was reported missing on June 15, 2014 around 8:30am in the morning.  A family member reported Matthew left home distraught and threatening to harm himself.
