Fake perfume found during traffic stop

SANDUSKY COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

 

Troopers stopped a 2001 Ford Econoline Van, with New York registration, for a marked lanes violation on Interstate 80 westbound, near milepost 75, in Sandusky County at 8:53 p.m., on June 12.

Police asked if they could they search the vehicle and the occupants said yes.

During the search, troopers discovered suspected counterfeit perfume, worth nearly $68,000 in the cargo area of the van.

The suspect, Idees Mushtaq, 28, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was incarcerated in the Sandusky County Jail and charged with criminal simulation and possession of criminal tools, both fifth-degreed felonies.
