Looks like it's time to pack up the bat bag.
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
Looks like it's time to pack up the bat bag. Grady Sizemore, designated outfielder for the Boston Red Sox, has now been designated for assignment. The 31 year old won a roster spot after a strong and promising spring season for Boston. After struggling for 52 games with a .216 batting average, 15 RBIs and 2 homeruns, the Sox decided to clear out his locker.
Sizemore returned to the MLB with a vengeance trying to battle against injuries that had him benched for two full seasons. Now, in just 10 short days, Sizemore will either be released or traded from Boston. We wish the former Indian the best of luck.
