STARK COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The Flood Warning for the Nimishillen Creek near North Industry has been lifted.

As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, the stage was at nearly 10.5 feet. Flood stage is 9 feet.

Moderate flooding, including several low-lying roads near the creeks flooded, but the water is currently rescinding. Martindale Park is completely flooded and will be closed until the water recedes.

For 140 years, the Metzgers have been in the hardware business in Louisville.

On Thursday, for at least the fourth time, they're cleaning up after a major flood. They tried to get the flood gates in place when the Nimishillen Creek started to rise, but it happened too fast.

"We were just too late. The water looked fine, and then it just all came at once when they were putting them up. It was just too late. The water just rushed in," said Adrienne Metzger with Metzger's Hardware.

Workers and community volunteers were in clean-up mode all day.

The store was open for emergencies Wednesday and is back open Thursday.
