CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Nationals left fielder, Bryce Harper is gearing up for some minor league rehab after undergoing ligament surgery on his left thumb last month. Harper plans on taking his time during rehab and said he was willing to play as many games as he needed to get a good feel on where his swing is. The Nats youngster doesn't want to push it; which sounds like a good idea because in his absence, the Nationals have actually moved to first place in the NL East.

Team manager, Matt Williams, will be shuffling around the team a bit upon Harper's return.

"It doesn't really matter to me. I just want to play," Harper said. "I just want to be in the lineup and hopefully I can come back and help the team win."
