Parents accused of starving son plead not guilty at their arraignment

ERIE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

An Erie County mom and dad accused of killing their adult son pled not guilty at their arraignment Friday.

David Arthur Sr., 54 and Deborah Arthur are both charged with involuntary manslaughter and failing to provide for an impaired person.

Their son David, 33, died Sunday at his home.

An investigation by Erie County Sheriffs Deputies revealed neglect.

David Jr. was in a car accident in 1999 and his parents were his primary caregivers.

Bond was set at $250,000 for David and Deborah and their next court date is scheduled for June 25.

Deborah, who is an LPN, is also not allowed to practice while the case is pending.
