TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Three men have been arrested and charged with the murder of Thomas Przybysz. Przybysz was assaulted on his front porch on May 23, and died as a result of his injuries.

John Haugh, 38, Scott Warrnka, 30 and Roy Cerveny, 30 were arrested and charged with murder in the case on Friday.

Haugh has been charged with aggravated murder and murder and Warrnka and Cerveny have been charged with murder.

Police say Przybysz, 30, was stabbed at least once in the chest. Family members say Przybysz was coming home from his job when he was stabbed in his driveway. He was taken away from the Point Place home on 283rd Street in an ambulance around 3:30 a.m. on May 23. He died just an hour later at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.

Przybysz reportedly went from house to house knocking on doors in order to seek help, leaving a trail of blood around the neighborhood before a neighbor called 9-1-1.

Przybysz was a father to 8-year-old Natalie. He is described as a hard worker who loved his large family.

Family members say they're happy to finally have some closure. They also say Przybysz knew his attackers.

"I know who they are, and Tom knew who they were and I recognize their faces," said Tom' sister, Christi Kidd. "I can't imagine how anyone could ever do something like this to Tom, to a person like he was."

"It's a senseless murder. You know, it's really kind of a bad one. It happened right out in front of his house," said Toledo Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan.

Neighbors are sleeping better now that police say those responsible are off the streets.

"I hope they stay where they stay for live and don't get out of jail," said neighbor Patricia Bridge. "It's just sad. You look across the street, the car's there, the house is there, he's not there."

"[Tom was an] absolutely phenomenal uncle to my two boys," said Kidd.
