CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Johnny Manziel has drawn a lot of attention in the last few weeks with partying and jet-setting. The truth is, the infamous Browns rookie has shown up to every OTA and minicamp on time and seen studying. So if Johnny wants to party, he has every right to party. As long as it isn't affecting his performance, why should anyone care what he is doing? Well, at least one Browns veteran has some rookie advice for Manziel and that would be cornerback Joe Haden. During an ESPN radio interview Haden said, "Johnny needs to check his friends a little bit." He also went on to say that he needs to adapt the system of the "phone valet." Suggesting Johnny should ask his friends to put his phones away so they don't record things when they decide to have a night on the town. Smart thinking!

Haden did, however, praise Johnny for his rookie performance thus far. "He's grown. When I've seen him in the locker room, he's in there on time, he's in there studying. He's getting better and better, every OTA and every minicamp. It's just the off the field stuff, a lot of it can be prevented."

Joe Haden also said, "But he's young. Nothing that he does out there is affecting his improvement on the football field. For him, I would like to get people off of his back. You Johnny, you young, you just got in the league. You're doing everything you need to do on the field. Maybe just try to ease back a little bit."

Manziel is competing with Brian Hoyer for the starting QB position even though head coach, Mike Pettine believes Hoyer will be No.1.
