CLEVELAND, OH -

Investigators are trying to figure out why a 51-year-old man collapsed and died moments after getting sent to the Cleveland City jail.

He had attacked a 14-year-old girl, and now her mother is speaking out.

Cleveland Municipal Court officials say Wednesday morning Miguel Aybar collapsed and died just after walking out of court heading to jail.

He had been convicted of unlawful restraint for grabbing and kissing a teenage girl, his neighbor.

"I don't know how to feel, really. Justice was served, but I feel for the family," her mother told 19 Action News.

We've obtained courtroom video, and everything appears normal.

City Judge Michelle Earley sentenced Aybar. Through an interpreter he told the court, the girl had feelings for him.

The judge didn't want to hear it. She fired back, "She's 14-years-old!"

All of this is really awkward for the victim's mom since Aybar was her neighbor, living near West 83rd Street and Madison Avenue in Cleveland. Aybar was also the stepfather of mom's boyfriend.

The court says Aybar did get handcuffed walking to jail. That mother says he had high blood pressure, but still no telling yet what caused him to collapse and die.
