Ohio State Highway Patrol to open 150 jobs

(Toledo News Now) -

Many jobs will be opening up in July for the Ohio State Highway Patrol. OSHP will start accepting applications for 150 openings beginning July 14.

There are over 50 highway patrol posts in the state of Ohio. As of right now, some of them are low on staff. Beginning in July, you could apply to become a state trooper. The highway patrol is taking applications for both their spring and fall academies.

OHSP Trooper Greg Rayot knows what it takes to get the job.

"Being able to respond to calls in a timely manner. If we're short staffed in one area of the state or the other, being able to get to those calls and to be able to service the citizens of the state of Ohio," said Rayot.
