Officer grazed by bullet that accidentally discharged

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

An officer suffered minor injuries when he was grazed by a bullet Wednesday afternoon.

The incident happened at the CSD Credit Union, located on East Bannister Road, just east of James A. Reed Road.

Police said the off-duty Kansas City Police Department officer's gun accidentally discharged and a bullet grazed him. He sustained a minor injury to his foot.

The off-duty officer was treated and released by the Kansas City Fire Department at the scene.
