SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

On Thursday, July 3, there were two OVI Checkpoints in Summit County. Both were in Coventry Township; one at South Main Street and Vaughn Road, the other at South Arlington Road and East Warner Road.

The OVI Task Force released their results today, including the fact that one driver actually struck another car in the checkpoint zone of the South Arlington checkpoint. That driver had a BAC of .185. The driver's name has not been released.

111 cars passed through the South Arlington checkpoint. Of them 14 were stopped for further investigations. Two were arrested for OVI, including the one who hit another car. Seven were cited for suspended license, one for not wearing a seatbelt, and one for having a temporary license only. Three cars were impounded.

The two arrested for OVI had BAC's of .185 and .153, both twice over the legal limit.

The South Main checkpoint saw more vehicles, 357, but had no arrests or citations.
