A 34-year-old man is seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Monday morning.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers say William Gahimer was leaving work at SealMasters Pavement Products and Equipment on Campbell Street around 6:00 a.m. when the crash happened.

Gahimer apparently rapidly accelerated, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle. The bike flipped and Gahimer was thrown onto the ground.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Gahimer was seriously injured and transported to Firelands Regional Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
