Manhunt: Police search escaped prisoner Jeremy Frey

SHEFFIELD LAKE, OH (WOIO) -

The Sheffield Lake police department is asking for the public's assistance in locating escaped prisoner Jeremy Frey.

Frey was incarcerated in the Sheffield Lake city jail on Friday, July 11, 2014 at around 5:00 p.m. on a felony charge of domestic violence.

Frey complained of an illness while in jail and he was transported to Mercy Hospital in Lorain for treatment. While at the hospital Frey was able to remove his I.V. and escape past hospital security personnel.

Frey's whereabouts are unknown and he is currently wanted on a felony charge of escape.

Police believe Frey got help from family and friends and caution anyone who may assist him that they could be charged with a felony offense.
