CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

On Friday, police arrested a 16-year-old girl for questioning in connection to the case of two 14-year-old girls who were robbed of their phones by a young woman with a gun.

The young suspect was arrested after being taken off an RTA bus. The father of one victim had gotten a tip from the neighborhood where the hold-ups happened, and he followed the bus until police arrived.

Last Friday, two teens said they were walking near West 100th and Almira in Cleveland when a young female showed a gun in her waistband and demanded their phones.

Police say a tracking signal showed the phones had been taken to a store nearby.

We've obtained store security video showing a young woman bringing in the phones. A report shows she wanted them "flashed," unlocked, and cleared of all information. But she walked out and left the phones.

Cleveland First District investigators are working on the case.

For now, the teen suspect sits in the Juvenile Detention Center.
