SOLON, OH (WOIO) -

Law enforcement officers are raising money and awareness for Ohio Special Olympics with their first ever 'Cop on Top' event!

At 6:00 a.m. Friday, police officers climbed on the scaffolding at the corner of SR 91 and Bainbridge in front of the Solon Walgreens.

Members of area police departments will occupy the scaffolding for 36 hours until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2.

This is just one of many fundraisers police officers hold to raise money for Special Olympics.
