Sentenced: Suspended OSU football player coming to a middle school near you

LORAIN, OH (WOIO) -

Former Ohio State University football defensive lineman Tracy Sprinkle pleaded no contest to an amended misdemeanor charge of attempted failure to comply with a police order.

Sprinkle was arrested on July 5, 2014 for fighting outside the Grown & Sexy Lounge in Lorain.

Sprinkle was sentenced to a 30-day suspended jail term and two years probation. 

He also must work with Lorain police on their Annual FOP Shop with a Cop Christmas program, assist with a police athletic league and complete 20 speaking engagements at various middle schools in Lorain County.

Sprinkle was fined $500 and will have to pay court costs.

Tracy Sprinkle was suspended from the team earlier this month officials announced. His status will be re-evaluated once his legal issues are resolved.
