OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gwilliam, Ivary, Chiosso, Cavalli & Brewer release the following: Whistleblower Madeleine Jen Kin filed a complaint today in Sonoma County Superior Court alleging that she was fired from her job in Sonoma County Human Services for reporting that disabled employees were being targeted for discipline and termination.  Ms. Jen Kin insisted that employees be treated fairly and was fired for doing so.  She alleges that Human Services, a County Department that exists to help people with disabilities, was discriminating against its own disabled employees. 

Ms. Jen Kin was an experienced human resources professional who was hired by the human resources department of Sonoma County Human Services to manage employee discipline, performance, termination and payroll.  During her time in Sonoma County Human Services, Ms. Jen Kin reported that Department Manager Kiergan Pegg was targeting disabled employees for termination and discipline.  Mr. Pegg had previously given Ms. Jen Kin a glowing performance review.  Within weeks of when he found out that Ms. Jen Kin raised concerns about his treatment of disabled employees, he fired her.
