Project Backpack presented by Remke Markets

FOX19 NOW PROJECT BACKPACK PRESENTED BY REMKE MARKETS RETURNS

Cincinnati, OH – July 22, 2014 – FOX19 NOW is helping area students receive school supplies as part of its annual Project Backpack campaign.

Viewers are encouraged to donate supplies at drop-off bins in all Remke Markets from July 28th through August 17th. Pre-packaged backpacks can also be purchased at the markets for $12.99, and cash donations are also accepted.

All donations are given to the Brighton Center and Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati.

"Children deserve to start the school year off with the school supplies they need," said Bill Lanesey, FOX19 NOW Vice President/General Manager. "Project Backpack makes it easy for viewers to make small donations which create big impact. Just a few things like pencils and rulers can inspire students to succeed. This is a project in which we're proud to participate."

Now in its ninth year, Project Backpack has raised school supplies and backpacks for more than 10,000 Cincinnati-area children to date.
