Akron, OH - A blatant show of disrespect by the man accused in a Twinsburg officer's slaying.

Ashford Thompson was arraigned in an Akron courtroom Friday morning - rolling his eyes and yawning several times during the reading of the indictment against him.

Thompson accused of killing Officer Joshua Miktarian during a traffic stop. The married father of a baby daughter was shot four times in the head at close range.

A not guilty plea was entered for the 23-year-old suspect.

Thompson's attorney Larry Zukerman abruptly withdrew from the high-profile case after causing a firestorm of criticism by suggesting Thompson killed Officer Miktarian in self-defense.

Thompson will now get a court-appointed lawyer because he cannot afford to hire one.

Thompson's $5M bond was revoked - he is now being held with out bond.

He's due back in court on August 6th.
